Donnie Goodwin is a highly experienced litigator with over 16 years experience in civil and criminal cases, both in Florida state courts and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Goodwin’s business experience dates to the 1980’s when he was a real estate investor and investment banker, working with such companies as Merrill Lynch and Paine Webber, before turning to a career in law.
Mr. Goodwin’s unique qualifications in the field of business law, accounting, finance and bankruptcy help provide a practical, idiomatic perspective to any defense case, particularly where it concerns insights into the motivations of professional plaintiffs.
Mr. Goodwin’s legal experience includes representing high-profile witnesses in civil and criminal fraud cases in which plaintiffs were known to have fabricated and falsified evidence against defendants. In one such case, which went before the United States Attorney’s Office, the plaintiff eventually lost the case and was indicted for multiple charges. The resulting conviction led to prison for the errant plaintiff, while the witnesses and defendants were eventually exonerated!
Mr. Goodwin is an ideal legal advocate who champions the causes of the underdog, often with satisfactory and sound results for his clients and those he represents.
Mr. Goodwin is admitted to the Florida Bar and to the SDFL.
